Pumper-Tanker 43

 

PT 43 is a 1986 Seagrave with a 2500 gallon tank and
  1250 GPM two stage Waterous pump.  It is powered by
   a 475 horsepower 8V92TA Detroit Diesel with an Allison
   automatic transmission.  It is equipped with 1400' of five 
   inch and 500' of three inch supply hose.  There is an Onan
   6000 watt generator powering 4- 500 watt quartz lights. 
A 3000 gallon Fold-a-tank is located on the officers side.

The enclosed cab allows seating for six firefighters.
There is a Compaq Presario Laptop mounted in the cab
to allow access to either the driver or officer.  The computer
is equipped with street atlas programming with full GPS
capabilities.  A wireless network setup through the station
allows the transfer of various reports from the apparatus to
the main computer system in the station.

 

 

 

 

 

This piece of apparatus was purchased from the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Company in
Baltimore County Maryland.  The piece was purchased in September 2000 and put in service
October of the same year.
