Engine 43

 

 

Engine 43 is a 2001 American LaFrance Eagle with a 1500 GPM single stage Hale Pump and a 750 gallon tank. It is powered by a Detroit Diesel Engine with an Allison automatic transmission.  There is 1500' of five inch and 500' of three inch supply line.  There is a total of seven pre-connected hand lines and a pre-piped Task Force deck gun.  A 10-Kw Harrison Hydraulic Generator powers 2-500 watt quartz lights mounted in the jump seat area. The enclosed cab allows seating for eight firefighters. There is a Compaq Presario Laptop mounted in the cab to allow access to either the driver or officer.  The computer is equipped with street atlas programming with full GPS capabilities.  A wireless network setup through the station allows the transfer of various reports from the apparatus to the main computer system in the station.

 

 

This unit was purchased in 2010 and runs first due on accidents and still alarms.
