This year's event was held on October 9.
The weather couldn't have been better, and the day was a huge success for all
that attended. We had a great showing from our neighboring counties,
including Lancaster, York, Berks and Schuylkill. All competitors that
attended did a superb job, breaking course records and setting the bar higher
for the following years to come. We would like to thank all the
competitors that represented the Fire Companies from across Central
Pennsylvania.
We look forward to continue to make the event more of a success for all that are
involved.
The competitors and those that support them are our driving force to continue to
make this event the best it can possibly be. Again, on behalf of the Rural
Security Fire Company and the Challenge Committee, a huge thank you to all that
support us in this endeavor.
We are well on our way with the preparations for our fourth annual Firefighters' Challenge. We have booked and confirmed the date of Sunday October 14, 2012 for this years event. Registration will be from 8:00 A.M. till 10:00 A.M., with the event starting promptly at 10:00 A.M.
We will be setting up the course for practice
sessions, when requested, to allow Competitors the opportunity to come in and
practice running the course, or work on individual events to prepare for the
Challenge in October. Please email the challenge committee at the address below
or call the station at 717-273-4472 to set-up a time and date for training.
We will again be running Relay Teams (3 to 5),
Tandem Teams (2 man teams) and Individuals.
